Documentary photography
Documentary photography refers to a field in photography in which pictures are used as historical documents. It is used to account important and historical events. It is often used to spur political and social change and Documentary photography usually refers to a popular form of photography used or a significant and historical event. Documentary photography can come in different styles these are companion images,and candid photography.The photographer tries to give the truthful objective and candid photographs of people, it is also used a real life reportage and it can be used for artistic materials. Documentary photography can be used in journalism this is called photojournalism some of the famous people who took documentary photographs are ; Dorotheo lange,Manuel-Ortiz and Lewis W.Hine. Documentary photography tends to show reality and captures images as if you are there.

The first is of a "Migrant Mother" I chose this photo as you can see the emotion on her face. she looks full of anguish and worry, its as if she is saying "what is going to happen to my children"? The second photo is of a Chinese Female Imam. The photographers has documented her speaking using her hands as expression. The third photo is of a boy carrying hand grenades, like he does not know what they are.
